Emerging from Richmond, US, Bryanna Rain presents an intriguing EP, ‘LavenderWax’, featuring two remixes and an original track. An immersive and charming record, the EP opens with the title track, where we find Rain’s haunting vocals gracefully floating over ever-evolving soundscapes, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that captivates the senses. The ambient-like textures and ethereal melodies intertwine to create a musical experience that feels hypnotising, almost magical.
Following up, Rain selects two remixes of a past single, ‘Blaming’, crafted by two brilliant Indian producers, Simar, Vedant and Kam. These pieces infuse the original track with true EDM flavour, unleashing a surge of energy that will likely set dancefloors ablaze.
Delving into the creative process behind the EP, Bryanna Rain explains: “We had a pair of brilliant Indian producers remix ‘Blaming,’ and we wanted to namecheck them. The theme is the music from an anime cartoon series I’m involved in at the moment, and we wanted this whole project memorialized on wax eventually.”
