Claire Reneé Shares Luscious RnB Gem ‘Sadder Days’

A light and soulful RnB snack, ‘Sadder Days’ feels as luscious as it could be, channelling the best neo-soul and electronic stylings into an irresistible, evocative package. Crowning it all, we find Claire Reneé’s powerful vocals, embracing the listener with introspective and poignant energy, while exploring the depths of modern dating and relationship struggles.

The latest effort by the L.A.-based songstress, ‘Sadder Days’ is a fantastic record, especially when the chorus explodes into ethereal, groovy and hypnotising glory, really taking the song to the next level. Anticipating an upcoming EP expected later this year, ‘Journal Entries 1- 4’, the single makes us look forward to it: if ‘Sadder Days’ is anything to go by, we are in for a profound listening experience.

Describing the lyricism behind the record, Claire Reeé explains: “I wrote this song about not understanding how someone could give up so abruptly and easily on a  relationship. That feeling of the other person letting go hits so deeply, leaving you feeling, angry, and hurt. I hope listeners resonate with the sentiment of getting through the anger, giving up the need to understand what exactly changed in the relationship and healing enough to wish that person well without closure.”
