Josh Tepper Shares Empowering Gem ‘Guide Me Meron’

Music is not always written with a relevant purpose. You see, sometimes it is merely a commercial exercise, perhaps looking for sales and high streaming numbers. That’s why we are particularly happy when we observe artists making music with real purpose, making their art the arrival point of personal reflection and acute introspection. For Josh Tepper, this meant a cathartic exercise in response to a period of struggle, forcing him to seek healing in the cathartic waters of music and songwriting.

As he explains: “I was going through a personal crisis which was worsened by the recent death of my grandparents who were deeply spiritual people and often told me stories about Mount Meron the center of Kabbalah in Israel. Thousands of people gather there every year on Lag Baomer to connect with the ancient Kabbalists. Sometimes if you close your eyes and open your mind, the wisdom and energy of Meron will fill your soul and guide your Way.”

‘Guide Me Meron’ was then born, fittingly built on an anthemic pop arrangement, boasting a chorus that feels larger than life, and especially relatable and memorable. A fantastic effort from Tepper.
