Despite their short career, Drastic//Automatic have managed to make a strong name for themselves, building a reputation based on their euphoric, rebellious and fuzzy punk energy. Channelling everything from post-punk to indie, passing through noise rock, the Sheffield-based group seems dead set on a glorious career. Well, it’s time to draw conclusions, at least for now: presenting their self-titled debut EP, Drastic//Automatic provides an overall look at their artistry, giving the listener the chance to get to know them on a global level.
It’s glorious. Clearly, the band doesn’t pursue commercial clichés, nor they are interested in sounding like anyone else in the industry right now: simply, Drastic//Automatic are unique and extremely authentic. Packed with seven tracks including past singles and brand-new offerings, the EP introduced the listeners to the Sheffield talents’ brainiac guitar riff, dissonant tuning and chaotic drum parts. Not to mention, their hard-hitting, gritty vocals.
Off the back of prestigious live shows all around England, Drastic//Automatic are in full bloom. We’ll be here supporting them.
