Magz is a New York City-based indie singer/songwriter and producer who we’ve come to absolutely adore of late. Falling hard for her single ‘Quicksand‘ and then finding ourselves lucky enough to interview the young musician, we are now thrilled to be able to share her heartfelt debut EP ‘Night Sweats’ with you! Featuring seven carefully crafted and deeply personal tunes, Magz invites us into her world without hesitation and then proceeds to get profoundly honest. Mental health, pain, loss, growth, self-discovery…It’s all on the table with this artist. That’s why we love her!
‘For Good’ is the EP’s opener, and it sets the scene beautifully. Sonically laidback, it allows for Magz’s vocals to take front and centre, and she doesn’t disappoint! ‘Emotional Trainwreck’ then follows and, once again, the musician showcases a rich and emotion-filled sound that is just so inviting and alluring.
We’ve already heaped praise on the EP’s third track ‘Quicksand’, and so now I’m going to do the only thing that feels right. I’m going to stop talking and allow you to discover four more of Magz’s songs all on your own! All I’ll say is this, her debut EP is an absolute dream! It’s graceful and exquisite from start to finish!
