The Loud Bangs are back at it. Many words have been used to describe their shoegaze soundscapes, even on our blog. For instance, we described one of their previous EP – ‘Why Things Fray’ – as “warm, dusky and nuanced”. Well, we better find another round of glorious and majestic adjectives, because the Californian band just released their latest effort, a collection of highlights now packaged into the ‘Kiss Me There’ LP. You see, The Loud Bangs have been incredibly productive, which is even more impressive when compared to their short career. Naturally, it was time to draw the lines, with ten tracks all packed into a stunning release.
Featuring three brand new tracks, ‘Kiss Me There’ showcases the many nuances the Los Angeles-based outfit is able to offer. From pure ambient-like shoegaze pieces to more noisy rock gems, there’s something for everyone in it. Personally, we are big fans of the ethereal compositions, representing a place where one can fully lose itself into. Letting the mind run free…
Stating how their catalogue has now reached the staggering number of 50 (!) tracks, it is clear The Loud Bangs have fully morphed into a prominent reality, a reality we’ll have to deal with, sooner or later. Don’t sleep on it!
