The Horn Return with Mellow Gem ‘Too Many Moments’

Listening to The Horn is like taking a peak into a legendary band in the making. In fact, their journey has been rather surprising, from last year’s debut effort to an upcoming support tour for Scouting for Girls: everything points in the right direction. Following up on recent single ‘Another Way’, new record ‘Too Many Moments’ widens the scope of their sound, delivering mellow indie vibes with a decisively pop undertone.

Leaving gritty guitars and fast-paced riffs behind, The Horn focus on material that’s friendly, relatable and potentially appealing to a wider audience. The right call, with the British group now on the brink of stardom. Crucial are Jonny Taylor’s lead vocals, so evocative and charming, really commanding the listener’s attention.

‘Too Many Moments’ overall character is sombre and haunting, perfectly relating to its lyrical inspiration, focused on the complexity of modern life. As The Horn explain: “It’s about the madness, all the stuff good and bad that we are all engulfed in. Too much stuff around us, too many to-do’s, too much aggravation, too many people taking advantage of you, too much expected of you, too many responsibilities, too many lovers, too many big problems…”
