It’s a busy period for Danny Arcane: having just released a stunning music video for ‘You Don’t Know Me’, the Los Angeles-based newcomer presents a brand-new offering, ‘No Remorse’, a light, fuzzy and soulful slice of pop euphoria. Built over surf and psych stylings, the track also showcases a certain lo-fi quality, especially in the rough guitar tones and understated vocals – expressive and sleazy while maintaining their casual status.
Lyrically, ‘No Remorse’ explores the human tendency to wish for things and situations that are not actually wanted. As Arcane explains: “a song for those who have at one point wanted something so badly they craved and pined for it. When they finally obtained it, they realized it was actually something they didn’t want.”
