llo llo’s Rich and Unique Sound Shines Through on ‘Rory’

Is there any better way to get the week rolling than with a bit of shoegazy dreamy power pop? Courtesy of the talented Chicago-based four-piece llo llo, may I proudly present the band’s latest single ‘Rory’. Five minutes on the dot, it’s a tune that wastes no time immersing its listener in llo llo’s hazy, hypnotic, and absorbing soundscape. Powerful and intense drums set the scene before a jangly guitar and steady bass are introduced. Add Johnny Cummings’ dreamlike and gorgeous vocals to the mix, and what you are left with is a rich and colourful track that stays with you long after your first listen. Dreamy, engrossing, genius!

The band have had a rather busy year so far, with the release of ‘OOPS!’, their debut EP ‘Quit While You’re Ahead’, and now the double single ‘Rory’ and ‘Paul’. Turning to the likes of The Police, The Replacements, Slow Pulp, Oasis, and Superheaven for inspiration, llo llo has come up with a sound that’s wonderfully unique and infectious.

I won’t lie…’Rory’ has completely taken hold of me. I love everything about it! It’s further proof that llo llo is a force to be reckoned with going forward, and I can’t wait to see what their musical future holds!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Rory’ on Spotify now:
