Golem Dance Cult Share New Video for ‘21st Century Dogs’

Often, music rejoices from looking at the past, seeking inspiration from cultural references that seems far away, but that can instantly be back on the table. Golem Dance Cult experience exactly that, delving into a sound that’s primarily new-wave and dark-wave-powered. Take for instance ‘21st Century Dogs’. Taken from the group’s long-length offering ‘Legend of the Bleeding Heart’, the track is a masterpiece in the way it seeks to explore the darkest corner of human behaviours, seen through the perspective of a dog.

In fact, the whole record appears gloomy, smoky and industrial, really delving into its haunting quality. Stacking up gritty guitars, punchy drums and prominent bass riffs, ‘21st Century Dogs’ also experiments with veiled electronic textures, drenching the track into a wholesome, leftfield goo that greatly resonates with the listeners (or some of them, like us)!

Emerging from Olney, UK, Golem Dance Cult features two old friends, Charles Why and Laur, both committed to sonic research and leftfield stylings. While guitar-based music is one of their main goals, the pair has found artistic richness in expanding their sound, something we can clearly admire in ‘21st Century Dogs’. The track now gets a brand-new music video too – don’t sleep on it!

“Looking at the World through the eyes of a Dog! The choice is either to lay low and follow orders or bite the hand that feeds and revolt against the master!”
