Last month, Zurich-based producer 59 Perlen unleashed ‘Forget About the Music’, an eight-track sonic adventure that fellow writer Gabriel and I just fell absolutely in love with. Showcasing his versatility and depth of knowledge in the electronic music field, it was a genre-bending album that kept us captivated and mesmerized throughout.
Not content to just rest on his laurels, 59 Perlen is already back with new music, this time in the form of ‘Siren’. Featuring fellow Swiss-based dream-pop artist Ingeborg, ‘Siren’ sees the two assemble a quick-fired deep house tune that carries a profound message of love and compassion. “In a world fraught with conflicts and uncertainties, ‘Siren’ emerges as a beacon of hope and unity,” says the producer. How right he is!
After coming across 59 Perlen’s 2023 single ‘Swim to You’, Ingeborg was inspired to contribute a vocal melody and accompanying lyrics. What began as an unlikely and spontaneous collaboration blossomed into a thoughtful and immersive musical journey, bringing together two artists from very contrasting backgrounds to create something that we can only describe as pure magic!
