4D4M is NOT playing around. A visionary and talented electronic music producer, the American creative crafts an electrifying, intense gem built around dubstep and hardstyle sound design. Transporting us to a rave in Rotterdam in 1997, ‘Remedy – Euphoria Mix’ does everything it says on the tin.
Euphoric, punchy and fierce, the record might not be for everyone – some listeners are too vanilla – but for the keen ones, it will represent a welcome paradise. Drenched in female vocals, bright, sweeping synthetisers and Skrillex-like stabs and drops, ‘Remedy’ navigates tradition with a strong contemporary flair, delivering a listening experience that’s familiar in its sensations and futuristic in its livery.
Speaking about the record, 4D4M explains: “I wanted to create a track that would capture the raw energy and excitement of realizing your loved one is the only cure you need for life. Also, I wanted to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the riddim dubstep and hardstyle genres’ sound design. It was an insane series of all-night studio sessions and iteration to get to this level of melody and intensity.”
