Tom Collins Unleashes Genius Indie-Rock Banger ‘Halfway Boys’

I can’t think of a better tune to lead us into the weekend than ‘Halfway Boys’, the smashing new single from Welsh singer/songwriter Tom Collins. A guitar-led indie-rock beauty that showcases Tom’s extraordinary vocals and heart-on-sleeve songwriting, the track delivers an all-important message about neglect, deprivation, and child poverty. “It is a song that needs to be heard because of the current state of society,” says the artist, and we couldn’t agree with him more!

Mixed in Liverpool by producer extraordinaire Alex Quinn, (The Royston Club, Michael Aldag) the driving and exhilarating tune has been described as Tom’s “most urgent work to date”. His ability to turn profound social issues into stirring and emotionally charged music is truly remarkable – and a sign of a masterful musician at work.

Influenced by Sam Fender, Jamie Webster, and Catfish And The Bottlemen, Tom Collins is beginning to make a real name for himself. He’s played alongside English pop-rockers Scouting for Girls and will soon be featured in a BBC documentary exploring the North Wales music scene.

‘Halfway Boys’ is unquestionably one of the best new tracks I’ve heard this year, and I can’t wait to follow Collins’ musical journey going forward!
