The Savage Hearts Share Dobule Single ‘Gang War/Speed Kills’

One of the most unique and slightly mysterious projects we have come across in a while, The Savage Hearts emerge from a small Irish town, paying homage to a local rock’n’roll hero named as Eddie Cruizer. Men on a mission, the talented peeps behind the group recognize bassist Evan Walsh as their head honcho, walking the distance between furious old-school cowpunk matter and more nuanced blues and psychedelic influences.

The result can be easily observed in ‘Gang War/Speed Kills’, The Savage Hearts’ latest effort. In it, keen listeners will be welcomed into the Irish outfit’s euphoric, electrifying sonic universe, mainly thanks to two singles which perfectly illustrate the wide musical scope championed by the project. Pairing hard-hitting, gritty guitar riffs with a charming harmonica and vintage organs, the record is as impressive as it could be – if anything, it showcases the high degree of technical prowess enjoyed by all participating performers.

A worthy record – worth your time! Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Gang War’, The Savage Hearts explain: “Target lip – a new red crevasse, vacant dentals, crocked knokkels in 12 languages at least. The tainted visage and discarded threads. Gang war met, as promised”.
