The keen reader might remember Ukrainian star ETOLUBOV from a previous article we published about ‘VSELUBOV’. Describing the album, we declared it as “showcasing the talented songstress’ nuanced artistry, driven forward with strong charisma and confidence”. We stand by our words: ETOLUBOV’s artistic output is not only forward-thinking and bold, but also extremely elegant, a sign of a true icon.
It is one of the songs in the aforementioned album that gets reimagined with a strong multicultural flair. ‘Attraction’ – already drenched in Arabic instrumentation – gets a brand new sonic livery in collaboration with famous Egyptian singer and actor Ramy Sabry, lending his evocative, cathartic vocals to an already charged and meaningful piece.
The alchemy between ETOLUBOV and Sabry is undeniable, taking the former even further in her journey to recognition. Having established herself as a true pop phenomenon in the MENA region, it’s now time for the West to deal with her irresistible character too – it’s just a matter of time, we reckon.
