David Starr Offers Up Stunning Acoustic Version of ‘Edge of the World’

Colorado-based singer/songwriter David Starr is certainly no newcomer to the scene. With ten albums under his belt, the Americana and blues artist has shared stages with some of the biggest names out there including John Oates, America, and Survivor. His latest single is an absolutely stunning acoustic version of ‘Edge of the World’, a tune he recorded in 2017 for his EP ‘The Head & Heart’, and I couldn’t be more proud to share it with you today.

Recorded in one take at Addiction Sound Studios in Nashville, David and his mandolin player Erik Stucky offer up a warm and intimate rendition of ‘Edge of the World’. Highlighting the track’s emotional depth and introspective lyrics, the acoustic version brings a newfound sense of vulnerability to the song. Calming, contemplative, and simply superb!

“‘Edge of the World’ was originally inspired by a performer I met at a songwriter festival,” says Starr. “I came to appreciate that she had obviously overcome some difficult stuff, and the song is ultimately about resilience and hope”.

David and Erik will embark on a thirteen-date UK tour that kicks off on the 2nd of May in Coatbridge and ends on the 18th in Southport. If you’re lucky enough to live nearby, I strongly suggest grabbing some tickets at https://www.davidstarrmusic.com/tour!
