Collective UBU Celebrate Late Co-Founder with an Eclectic, Rich Album

‘UBU’ is a multi-faceted, meaningful record. The result of enlightened artistic collaboration, the album develops as a heartfelt tribute to UBU collective’s co-founder Marco Trinchillo, who sadly passed away due to cardiac arrest. Now headed by co-founded Mattia Mercuriali, the musical outfit seeks to leave its mark on the current cultural landscape with a record that feels eclectic and leftfield, yet familiar and drenched in relatable references.

Recorded in Italy, ‘UBU’ sees Marco and Mattia teaming up with a plethora of fellow songwriters and singers, spanning a rich variety of genres, from alt-folk and pop stylings to leftfield soundscapes and electronic sound design, passing through spoken words and cinematic influences. It all plays a role in making the album as welcoming as it could be, wrapping the listeners in pure, unfiltered and authentic artistry, just as Marco would have wanted.

A celebrated photographer and musician, Marco Trinchillo has left an indelible mark on the artistic scene around him – a legacy that will flourish for decades to come.
