In the modern era, we are lucky to have access to a variety of unique and inspiring individuals, like Arman Ray and Hyon Gak Sunim. A UK fine artist and music producer, Ray has exhibited in the UK and overseas, and began making music in 2014 in search of a new challenge. After releasing several EPs, Ray collaborated with Hyon Gak Sunim in 2020 to create an album that aimed to bring authentic Zen teachings to a wider audience. Hyon Gak Sunim is a modern Zen Master who was ordained over 30 years ago by the legendary Zen Master Seung Sahn of the Kwan Um School of Korea.
The pair comes together one more time, in ‘The Formless Track’ an album of danceable, rhythmic Dharma seeds, with twelve techno-songs that spin admonitions for practice and for waking up and travelling the Buddha Way. This is an example of how different individuals can collaborate to create something truly unique and inspiring, demonstrating the power of the human spirit.
A unique offering, deserving attention and focus. Recommended! Discover ‘The Formless Track’ on Bandcamp:
