Aggressive Soccer Moms Fiercely Return with ‘Darling’

Jeremy Bregman

I remember it clearly. It was December last year and the Stockholm-based lo-fi, post-punk trio Aggressive Soccer Moms (ASM) had just unleashed ‘That’s How I Feel’. I fell in love with the avant-garde tune and have been patiently waiting for its follow-up ever since. I am thrilled to say that ASM has now delivered, so please welcome ‘Darling’, their brand new single. Vocals aside, ‘Darling’ takes on quite a different complexion compared to ‘That’s How I Feel’. It’s a fast-paced and fierce track that doesn’t let up for one second. It’s leftfield, experimental, and unconventional in the best possible way! It’s also the first time that we are treated to a guitar solo on an ASM song. We hope it’s not the last!

‘Darling’ is the band’s second single from their upcoming seventh album ‘Quint’ which is scheduled to be released next month. With the addition of Stefan Wistrand on saxophone, ASM now has a new sound and perspective that sets them apart from their peers.

Next month can’t come soon enough, to be honest. The whole team is eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Quint’, and we all get the feeling that it might be quite a special album!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Darling’ on Spotify now:
