AOR from Toronto. Canadian rocker Phil Marinucci unveils his latest effort – ‘FLY’ – an 80s-inspired fuzzy gem exploring AOR and classic rock, focusing on relatable lyricism and steady grooves. To achieve the desired effect, the song was built with over 130 layers of instruments and vocal tracks, all virtual and performed on an M-Audio MIDI keyboard. Drums and complex background melodies were also programmed to add to the 80s aesthetic.
Aided by the pandemic isolation, Phil Marinucci has taken a trip down memory lane with ‘FLY’, and in doing so, has brought a little bit of joy to the world in a time of need. Although you might end up feeling nostalgic.
