There’s a new electropop queen in town, and her name is VIAVE. Packing a bold, striking outlook, the Estonian songstress has developed an impressive brand of synth-powered goodness, blending relatable lyricism with intricate, leftfield-flavoured sonic energy. ‘Blush’ is the perfect evidence of that: ever-changing and intense, the track also delivers a certain amount of dreamy textures and cinematic elements, making for a single that’s evocative yet euphoric and memorable.
Hailing from Tallinn, VIAVE has showcased herself as an exciting artist and gifted DJ. Proficient in music as well as in visual arts, she loves to maintain full control over the creative direction of her project. The video for ‘Blush’ is a wonderful example of it, with the European popstar unveiling her vaporous, lush coral and peach aesthetic. The track is part of VIAVE’s latest EP, ‘THE SPARK DIED ON SUNDAY’.
Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Blush’, she explains: “I love incorporating Flume-style sound design elements while also experimenting with AURORA’s ethereal melodies. There’s also a deeper side to me that gravitates toward massive, emotional sounds. In short, this song is as versatile as I am as a person – I love many things.”
