Glass Cabin Breathe New Life Into Fleetwood Mac’s ‘The Chain’

Towards the end of last year, I fell in love with an EP called ‘Glass Cabin 2’. Crafted by Nashville-based singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Jess Brown and David Flint, who perform under the moniker Glass Cabin, the rich and immersive EP blew me away. Afterwards, I found myself digging through their discography – and discovered an act I now count among my absolute favourite musical finds.

Jess and David’s latest offering is a stellar cover of Fleetwood Mac’s pièce de résistance ‘The Chain,’ a daring and courageous undertaking that breathes new life into the iconic tune. Combining Jess’ rugged and country-infused vocals with David’s musicianship, the duo have struck the perfect chord between reverence for the original and their own distinctive sound.

“The one album that never gets old to me and I still listen to over and over again is Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours’ – it’s a classic!” says David. “So, when Jess suggested that we record ‘The Chain,’ I was immediately on board”.

Hopefully hard at work on a brand new record, Glass Cabin never cease to amaze me with their unique blend of innovation and heartfelt artistry. I just love them to bits, and can’t wait to hear from them again!
