Monrad Shares Dark and Dramatic New Single ‘Caught Up’

Hypnotic and emotive, ‘Caught Up’ is the brand new single courtesy of Belgium-based artist Matthew Ramon, better known by his moniker Monrad. A dark and dramatic offering, ‘Caught Up’ could perhaps be best described as an arty, alternative-rock tune, but there’s much more to it.

Rich, layered, and full of sonic textures, it’s a track that pulls you into its depths and reveals new dimensions with each listen. The contrast between dark intensity and the vulnerability of the story works an absolute treat, and Monrad’s gravelly and low-pitched vocals just seal the deal!

“Life is passing by. We are trapped in our daily routine, caught up, juggling between our job, family, friends, and free time,” says the artist. “At a certain point, the numbers don’t add up anymore…The only thing you want to do is escape…’Caught Up’ searches for that exact moment in time where you just want to let go”.

The song will form part of Monrad’s upcoming EP ‘Not by Design’ scheduled for release in early November. A six-track offering that will build on previous releases, it’s a record we at Mesmerized simply cannot wait to hear! Monrad is an outstanding talent, and I find myself falling deeper in love with ‘Caught Up’ every time I listen to it!
