Sun Lite Collects His Best Work in ‘Sun’s Seven’

‘Sun’s Seven’ is the arrival point of a few years of music making. More specifically, it’s Sun Lite’s very best, a selection of seven tracks that make the project interesting and relevant. Curated through an afternoon-long listening session, the Belgian sonic explorer navigated all of his musical output, picking only a handful of tunes.

The standouts, as you might call them. There’s a great deal of stylistic information in the record. You see, like everyone and everything in our universe, Sun Lite’s artistic flavouring has evolved too, going from guitar-based anthems to more nuanced and eclectic offerings. That’s why ‘Sun’s Seven’ varies so much in its themes and references. Simply, it’s a historical take on its author. Based in a bedroom studio in Lier, Sun Lite has had time to explore his own qualities, jetting off in 2018 with the willingness to express himself.

From the orchestral prog rock of ‘Dog & Pony Show, Pt 1’ to the Mike Oldfield-flavoured soundscapes in ‘The Night Hag’, passing through the psychedelic synth work in ‘Pendulum’, the album is bound to have something for everyone, and as such, we are confident it will be able to connect to a large audience, given the opportunity.
